AI PLATFORM
Today it is impossible to ignore the place that Artificial Intelligence holds in all sectors of society, which is why the teaching of programming has experienced exceptional growth in recent years.
The Artificial Intelligence Program set up by the company Aviation Connection in collaboration with computer engineering and software engineering experts from Polytechnique Montréal has been offered since September 2020. Understanding what AI is and how it is used through flying robots is the best way to capture the attention of young people and develop skills.
The objective of the curriculum on this platform is not to lead young people to be future experts in AI but to make them experience and manipulate things so that they discover and understand how it works.
The new CogniFly flying robot:
In an effort to innovate and improve its program, Aviation Connection is introducing a new autonomous flying robot, made in Quebec, intelligent, collision-resistant, safe with a protective cage, which offers a use perfectly adapted to school use for learning Artificial Intelligence in secondary schools in Quebec. In addition to its unique features, this new flying robot will allow students to discover its mechanisms and components through assembly processes (modules). Students will be required to assemble the CogniFly before using it as part of the Artificial Intelligence program, giving them the opportunity to apply certain engineering concepts in real time.
This e-learning platform on AI and Flying Robots was created thanks to the participation and collaboration of the following schools:
• École secondaire Monseigneur-A.-M.-Parent, St-Hubert
• École secondaire St-Laurent, St-Laurent
• École secondaire Mirabel, Mirabel
• École secondaire Jean Jacques Bertrand, Farnham
• École secondaire Joseph Hermas Leclerc, Granby
• La Polyvalente St-Jérôme
