Teacher Training Program:
AI and Flying Cognifly Robots
Developed in Partnership
with Polytechnique Montréal
In collaboration with Polytechnique Montréal, Aviation Connection has created an artificial intelligence training program for teachers. The goal is to equip teachers with the digital skills and pedagogical resources needed to introduce AI and coding into high school courses in a tangible and engaging way through the use of the flying robot Cognifly.
12 hours of training provided to teachers, enabling them to deliver up to 12 AI and coding lessons to their students. It includes:
- An interactive learning platform: short video tutorials, hands-on workshops, and quizzes for students.
- AI and coding training allowing teachers to use the Cognifly flying robot as part of their classes.
- Personalized remote support from the Aviation Connection educational team.
This training program touches upon the below topics:
- Introduction to AI and flying the Drone remotely
- Programming with python and the drone
- Using the telemetry captor on the Cognifly for detection
- Computer vision & image processing with the drone
- Object detection in real time
Bringing Programming and Artificial Intelligence Into the Classroom
This program helps teachers introduce their students to the world of artificial intelligence through programmable flying robots. Students will learn the basics of Python coding, discovering how flying robots and their components work.
They’ll experiment with data collection, visual recognition, and the logic behind the algorithms that enable drones to “see,” analyze, and act. Through exciting, hands-on programming assignments, students will develop essential technical skills while stimulating their creativity and critical thinking.
This dynamic, approachable immersion in a fast-growing field prepares young people to understand – and shape – the technological world of tomorrow.
